Legal Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

Macnman Technologies Pvt. Ltd. (“Macnman”) designs and manufactures industrial IoT hardware products intended for professional, commercial, and industrial use.
By purchasing, installing, or operating any Macnman product, the customer acknowledges and agrees to the disclaimers, limitations, and responsibilities outlined in this document.

This policy protects Macnman from liabilities arising from factors outside our control such as improper installation, misuse, environmental conditions, or failures in external systems.

General Disclaimer​

Macnman hardware products are provided “as-is” except where explicitly covered under the Macnman Warranty Policy.

Macnman does not guarantee:

  • Operation of customer-owned gateways, servers, or cloud platforms
  • Continuous connectivity on LoRaWAN, WiFi, LTE, NB-IoT, or other networks
  • Data integrity once the device has transmitted data to customer infrastructure
  • Fitness for applications not stated in product documentation
  • Performance under incorrect installation, wiring, or non-recommended environmental conditions

Overall system performance depends on customer infrastructure, integration accuracy, environment, and installation quality.

Installation & Usage Disclaimer​

Macnman shall not be held responsible for failures caused by:

  • Incorrect wiring, polarity reversal, or wrong voltage/power supply
  • Improper sealing leading to water ingress
  • Use of non-approved antennas, cables, or accessories
  • Physical damage, shock, vibration, or mechanical tampering
  • Rodent/insect attacks, corrosion, dust, or chemical exposure
  • Exceeding operating temperature or humidity limits
  • Incorrect mounting, enclosure misuse, or unprotected outdoor installation

Devices must be installed strictly following Macnman's official installation manuals and datasheets.

Integration & Software Disclaimer​

As Macnman provides hardware only, it is not responsible for failures or losses caused by:

  • Third-party dashboards, cloud platforms, or LNS servers
  • Incorrect payload decoders or application logic
  • Data loss or corruption in customer-controlled servers
  • Gateway misconfiguration or downtime
  • API, MQTT, HTTP, or integration issues
  • Firmware flashing that is not officially approved by Macnman
  • Security vulnerabilities or breaches in customer’s IT/network infrastructure

All networking, cloud, and software configurations are fully under the customer’s control.

Limitation of Liability​

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

No Indirect or Consequential Damages​

Macnman is not liable for:

  • Loss of business or revenue
  • Loss of data
  • Missed alerts or failed notifications
  • Downtime or system unavailability
  • Third-party claims
  • Damages caused by incorrect integrations
  • Losses arising from misuse or environmental exposure

Liability Cap​

If Macnman is ever held liable,
the maximum liability shall not exceed the purchase price of the product involved in the claim.

Electrical, Safety & Compliance Disclaimer​

Customers are responsible for ensuring that:

  • Installations comply with relevant electrical and RF regulations
  • Devices use proper surge protection, grounding, and power source
  • Antenna placement and spacing follow RF guidelines
  • Cable glands, seals, and enclosures are properly secured
  • Batteries are handled, transported, and disposed of safely

Macnman is not liable for damages arising from improper safety practices.

Firmware & Hardware Modification Disclaimer​

The following actions immediately void all warranty and liability protections:

  • Flashing unauthorized firmware or altering the bootloader
  • Attempting to bypass MCU security protections
  • Modifying PCB components, traces, or radio sections
  • Using non-approved diagnostic or flashing tools
  • Physically tampering with enclosures, seals, serial stickers, or labels

Modified devices are permanently ineligible for warranty, AMC, RMA, or technical support.

Force Majeure (Events Outside Macnman’s Control)​

Macnman is not responsible for failures caused by:

  • Natural disasters (floods, storms, fires, earthquakes)
  • Lightning strikes or electrical surges
  • War, riots, vandalism, or sabotage
  • Extreme temperature or environmental stress
  • Global supply chain interruptions
  • Regulatory changes outside Macnman’s control

Customer Responsibilities​

Customers must:

  • Follow all Macnman installation guidelines
  • Use the correct power supply, antenna, and accessories
  • Maintain a dry, safe, and stable installation environment
  • Prevent moisture, rodents, dust, and chemicals from damaging the device
  • Keep firmware updated to supported versions
  • Secure their own gateways, servers, dashboards, LNS, and APIs

Any negligence or environmental misuse releases Macnman from all liabilities.

Policy Updates​

Macnman may update or revise this Legal Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability at any time without prior notice.
Customers must refer to the latest version for current conditions.

Acceptance of Terms​

By purchasing, installing, or using any Macnman device, the customer confirms their acceptance of this Legal Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability and agrees to operate devices at their own risk where applicable.
